Comparing different hot tub brands
As well as the number of seats and luxury features, you may want to consider:
Performance – Ergonomic seat design will match the contours of your body. A greater volume of water indicates more room to move. More jets mean a better distribution of hydromassage but need more pump power (we recommend 2HP per 17 jets).
Durability – For maintenance free good looks a spa needs to be totally enclosed, including over-the lip shell construction. We recommend a granite acrylic shell with ABS backed 1-piece construction, as these are mark-resistant and cannot delaminate or blister.
Reliability – We believe that Balboa control panels and Waterways jets are the best available.
Running Cost – Check for a fully insulated cabinet and four inch thick tapered cover to retain heat and exclude rainwater. An ozone generator will minimise chemical costs.
